Visiting the Book Case

The Book Case is situated in the picturesque town of Hebden Bridge in the heart of the Calder Valley, the jewel of West Yorkshire. We are surrounded by beautiful walking country, whether you prefer the high heather moorland or peaceful woodland. You can follow in the footsteps of the great landscape poet Ted Hughes, and explore the locations that inspired him.

A former mill town, Hebden is known for its tall upstairs-downstairs houses perched on the steep hillside, and its mill buildings now converted to galleries, artist's studios and shops. The River Calder runs through the town leading to Hardcastle Crags, a National Trust beauty spot. The Rochdale canal also cuts through the town, with its colourful barge moorings. Nearly all the shops in Hebden Bridge are independently run, and you can spend a day shopping for unusual gifts in "the town for great little shops."

The Book Case is located on Market St in Hebden Bridge (the A646, the main road that runs from Halifax to Todmorden). Approaching from Halifax we are on the left just before the Co-op.

Opening times

The Book Case will be closed

Wed 15th February

for a family celebration.

Sorry for any inconvienience.

 

Monday - Saturday 10am till 5pm

Sunday 12pm till 4pm

Depending on staffing levels we may close for lunch from 1pm till 1.30pm on weekdays.
